Context
Included to complete the archive's two-headed Mirrors row for scene 159 ("the DMZ bartered for a lamp and mirror," pp. 481, 215), whose barter half lives here rather than in any endnote raw: the eighteen DMZ lozenges — the drug the whole Pemulis endgame runs on — enter the book priced in optics, an antique lava-lamp plus the lavender apothecary's mirror Lucien loved, handed over to a sandaled stranger flashing a covert V. Light-source and reflector traded for the psychedelic; the glass-trade brothers' tenderest object (Lucien "personally much attached… particularly to the lavender mirror") is the purchase price, and the lozenges it bought are in the shop when the A.F.R. arrive later in this same scene.
