One clause inside Calvin Thrust's House-news torrent, carried for its content: nuts and cigars are the exact fatal props of the Christmas that killed Green's mother, surfacing nightly in R.E.M. — the quoted-detail nightmares of pp. 650-651 still running, and a flat contradiction of Lenz's "Green doesn't dream" (109). A single reported clause, no dreamt material rendered; texture on exactly that ground.
