Context
The party that founds the era, and its politics are diagnostic: C.U.S.P. is an "annular agnation" of the far right and far left fused by a single obsession with cleanliness — the axis of American politics re-drawn from left-vs-right to clean-vs-dirty. Its founding plank, "Let's Shoot Our Wastes Into Space," is experialism's first, failed form; when the rockets fall back as more waste, the only remaining option is to shoot the waste north instead. The whole Reconfiguration is C.U.S.P.'s plank redirected from the sky to Canada.
