Fackelmann's scam; the wraith returns

Carlisle's reading, recorded not adopted: the whole Fackelmann episode is the Osric wager from Hamlet's last act — Claudius and Laertes' fraudulent scam on Hamlet under the ruse of a friendly bet ends with Claudius's map eliminated for keeps at a vengeful Hamlet's hands, as Fackelmann's will be at a vengeful Sorkin's (hired) ones. He notes the wager draws almost four pages of commentary in the Arden second-series Hamlet, as this one draws six pages of Wallace. Our digest reads the scam mostly as crime-plot; this is the strongest family-hamlet overlay available for it, and it runs through the map idiom.
