Context
Hal's second sentence into the call is a metrical demolition of Orin's Dickinson theory — the lexical prodigy scanning verse reflexively, mid-greeting. Note "quatrameter" (standard term: tetrameter) in the mouth of the family's designated corrector — possibly an authorial joke, a solecism inside the correction itself.
