Context
Sighting only (tag-declined as carrier: a proto-tableau image, the motif's property rather than the theme's): ten-ish Peter Beak asleep open-eyed on the V.R.6 floor during Hal's Big Buddy session, his rolling eyes and limb-spasms legible from outside as "a troubling dream" whose content nobody gets. The dream does leak once, on p. 113 — Beak sits up and says 'God no not with pliers!' and collapses back. This is the seed of the eyes-rolling-up motif (Pemulis, Schacht, Lyle, Gately, Hal all follow).
