• What: As "Helen Steeply of Moment," Steeply runs an interview series on Cardinals punter Orin, ostensibly a memorial-to-JOI family profile — but really probing Orin about the Moms, the Stork's death, Québec Separatism, and (crucially) planting the word "samizdat" and JOI's name to test what Orin knows about the Entertainment's provenance (the A.F.R. believe DuPlessis got his original copies from this athlete relative — cf. scene 145). The cultivation works: the smitten, uneasy Orin phones his estranged brother Hal for help answering "Helen's" samizdat and Separatism questions and to nail down the microwave-suicide facts he doesn't want to be caught not knowing, and reports being unable to stop opening up to her.
