What: Over Gately's passed-out form Lenz begins "womaning" that he'll be blamed; Green rams him against Pat's cabinets but refuses to rat him out. Calvin Thrust — to keep from killing Lenz himself — gives Lenz the choice of resigning his residency on the spot or submitting to a spot-urine, room-search, and police questioning; Lenz's rusted Duster won't start (bad solenoid; it is towed the next A.M.), so he abandons it and flees on foot into the confusion. The Staff room-search turns up his "mysteriously huge stash of high-quality Irish Luggage" (the trash-bags for his cats). His discharge is thereafter framed around the House as his having been "invited to ingest Substances and abuse animals elsewhere."
