• What: Freer's single chronologically indispensable act: prorector Mary Esther Thode discovered him more or less Xing Bernadette Longley under an Adidas blanket in the very back seat of the team bus — a flagrant violation of basic Academy-license rules committed under the nose of staff. The aftermath reshaped E.T.A. travel policy (all females have had to sit in the bus's front half ever since) and seeded his running notoriety, which resurfaces as the November leaflet (event 9).
