('Yardguard') Rader") and the marginal Slavic 16 Zoltan Csikszentmihalyi come in on Pemulis consoling the weeping Possalthwaite, ignore Freer's advice to run for their lives, throw down their gear, fetch fresh towels and set to snapping them — Rader rolling his wrists and spiraling his towel for what he calls maximum painage, until the Viking warns that one terrycloth breeze on his personal ass makes them toast. The narration uses their entrance for its portrait of the male 16s — inbent, conspiratorial, glandular, cliqueish, the only age-group at E.T.A. that snaps towels. Mostly undressed, the two take seats and become the halfhearted-towel audience to Pemulis's trust-math sermon at Possalthwaite, and Rader (with Freer) says What the fuck when the ruckus over John Wayne's on-air meltdown erupts offstage.
