What: Instead of confronting Fackelmann, Gately lumbered out of the bedroom (leaving P.H.-J. swooned) and let Fackelmann fix them both up, joining a marathon Dilaudid binge in the stripped apartment — the only time Gately ever IV'd so many times in one arm that he ran out of vein and switched arms. Kite slipped away with all his hardware, knowing Fackelmann was already as good as dead. Framed as Gately's realization about what an addict is.
