• What: As Gately drifted toward full-time burglary with two lesbian burglars and left "more and more of Sorkin's transfer-and-collection work to Fackelmann," Fackelmann himself declined — spooked by the Virus, he went back onto oral narcotics, stopped resisting the sugar-cravings, and got so fat and soft "his shirtfront looked like an accordion when he sat down." Meanwhile Sorkin took on a savage new third operative, the fuchsia-haired needle-junkie "Bobby C" (the only I.V.-heroin addict Gately knew who actively preferred violence), who will execute Fackelmann at the finale (event 15).
