• What: Exercising the tolerated custodial perk of mining E.T.A.'s cast-off trash (n.261: "menial employees and shift-workers mining E.T.A.'s collected waste for cast-off value," permitted so long as visually discreet), Clenette brings the Academy's discards down to Ennet House. Three attestations, seams shown: (1) 11 Nov — from the dining hall, Hal watches her and "the other black girl Didi" [Neaves] descend the steep unauthorized hillside path holding hands against the grade, Clenette with a backpack "bulging maybe with dumpster-pilferage" (the raw's own hedge; contents not identified); (2) 14 Nov — Pat tells Johnette that "Clenette H. brought some donie-cartridges down from E.T.A. this afternoon" and orders them previewed after lights-out ("No skin, no substances, light drinking only") before residents may watch — with the A.F.R. operative Marathe sitting veiled in the office as she says it (see Dating notes); (3) at the House Bitch-and-Complaint meeting, per Thrust's bedside recap to Gately, the "whole humongous shitload of cartridges" she "promoted" from the dumpster-queue "up at the swank tennis school up the hill she works at" and hauled down "earlier this week" becomes a flap, since Pat requires Staff to preview cartridges "for suitability and sex" while the residents starve for new entertainment.
