The urine/O.N.A.N.T.A. affair — Tavis wants Pemulis gone

• What: In the fallout, Tavis and the O.N.A.N.T.A. urologist take Pemulis and Hal to the administrative loo for impromptu urinalysis, but (as Hal notes) no samples were actually extracted (scenes 155). Hal reads the target clearly: "I'm not the one C.T. and the Moms want gone... I'm not the one they suspect. Pemulis publicly dosed his opponent at Port Washington" — and fears that a dirty result would mean "the Shoe" and disgrace to Himself's memory (157). And per n324 (Pemulis-aligned narration, carrying Bain's bracketed "Gretel the Cross-Sectioned Cow" nickname): Tavis "isn't exactly a fan of Pemulis anyway, certainly since the electrified-Rusk-doorknob-and-litigation incident" (cf. scene 102). The committee-bound, litigation-scarred Headmaster moving, for once, to expel.
