The self-signature of the unnamed first-person narrator of the Christmas-Eve street section: "It was yrstruly and C and Poor Tony that crewed that day and everything like that" (p. 128) — a written tic (yours truly), not a proper name. He is called "Emil" only in Poor Tony's later section (pp. 299-306), and whether he is Ennet House's Emil Minty is a question the book leaves open and this archive keeps open (question-marked cross-links, not a merge).
