The ONANtiad is named in the filmography as the in-world record of the founding itself — "the inception of North American Interdependence and Continental Reconfiguration" run as live-acted backdrop to a claymation farce. That the era's constitutional origin survives archivally as the set-dressing behind an "oblique, obsessive, and not very funny" love triangle is the theme's characteristic demotion: Reconfiguration is history only as somebody's obscure art-film.
