Context
The American Century as Seen Through a Brick compresses the whole waste-politics into one object's itinerary: a Boston brick catapulted north by Empire Waste Displacement into "a waste-quarry in southern Québec," where it resurfaces as a weapon "in the F.L.Q.-incited anti-O.N.A.N. riots of January/Whopper." The Reconfiguration's logic — U.S. refuse dumped onto Québec — is followed to its political consequence, the dumped material thrown back as insurgent ordnance. The founding's first riots exist in-world as a JOI documentary about a piece of trash.
