the DMZ show-and-tell: the Antitoi "former Canadian insurgents"
reputed former Canadian insurgents who now undertook small and probably kind of pathetic outdated insurgency-projects from behind the front-operation of a cut-rate mirror, blown-glass, practical joke ’n gag, trendy postcard, and low-demand old film-cartridge emporium called Antitoi Entertainment, just up Prospect St. from Inman Square in Cambridge’s decayed Portugo/Brazilian district.
Context
The insurgency's low end, humming under a schoolboy drug deal: the Antitois are "reputed former Canadian insurgents" reduced to "pathetic outdated insurgency-projects" behind a novelty-shop front — the geopolitics of Separatism domesticated into a gag emporium in a decayed Cambridge district. This is where the graded alphabet of 046 actually lives on U.S. soil: cut-rate cells running fronts, and the whole Antitoi backstory of experialist debris that 097 will unfold begins here as a footnote to Pemulis's errand.
