Why Orin called: "Helen" Steeply's soft profile is turning into a public memory-document — a memorial to a father whose funeral Orin skipped. The whole sixteen-page call runs on this premise: JOI's memory is about to be performed in print, so Orin has to extract the private version first in order to manage what he won't say.
