Inside the single enormous overdose sentence: the Pepsi bottle she built the pipe from triggers vivid involuntary recall, and the -plex memory floods back uninvited. And the replay is not faithful — p. 237 had "her hand in his lap"; the overdose version inverts it to "his hand in her lap" — the memory forking under the hit, or disclosing what the first version veiled.
