It’s going to be interesting to see if [sic] Hal, who thinks he’s just too sly trying to outline Eschaton in the 3rd-person tense [sic] like some jowly old Eschatologist with leather patches on his elbows [sic], if Inc can transpose [sic?] the math here without help from his Mumster.
Context
Pemulis's parting shot at the end of the dictation, every grammatical stumble preserved under Hal's [sic]s (including one hedged "[sic?]"). This is the apparatus outing scene 073's narration as Hal's own composition — Hal "outlining Eschaton in the 3rd-person tense" — which makes the whole Eschaton chapter itself a map Hal drew of a debacle he watched from the pavilion, stoned and paralyzed. The theme folded into the book's own narrative machinery.
