The origin story on record: a subsidized year actually named "Syntax" (scene 043's riff, which this endnote hangs off) is what finally drives Avril — her letters and complaints ignored "at every political level" — to co-found the M.G.M., thereafter "a bramble in the flank" of everyone playing fast and loose with public discourse. Note the standing tension: n.24's Union of Theoretical Grammarians predates this origin story; cite both as written.
