The montage's closing spec sheet: twirling-headline b&w allusion, Scorsese's montage music, lap-dissolves (the same transition logged at 081 p. 382) — a film-history vocabulary Mario deploys knowingly, on a budget of one janitor closet and Stice's old warm-up top for a black-acetate background. The apparatus is homemade but the grammar is inherited cinema, which is the inheritance thesis in one sentence. "Scorcese" as written (see Flags).
