the untitled film itself, which really started out as just a kids’ adaptation of The ONANtiad, a four-hour piece of tendentiously anticonfluential political parody long since dismissed as minor Incandenza by his late father’s archivists. Mario’s piece isn’t really better than his father’s; it’s just different (plus of course way shorter).
Context
The theme's cleanest statement: a film-within-the-novel adapting a film by JOI, the son domesticating the father's anticonfluentialism (named at its source in 078, above) into a kids' puppet show. "[D]ismissed as minor Incandenza by his late father's archivists" also quietly confirms an archived, curated filmography — the world n.24 documents.
