Certain other and doubtless really disturbing footage of Clipperton’s suicide still exists, having—with perhaps half a dozen other emotionally or professionally sensitive cartridge-Masters—been designated Unviewable by testatory codicil […] the cartridges were, in fact, along with his case of special lenses, interred right there with J. O. Incandenza’s dead body
Context
The screen hit is "along with his case of special lenses": JOI buried with his glass, the working optician's kit interred like grave goods beside the Unviewable cartridge-Masters (the Clipperton footage among "perhaps half a dozen" sensitive Masters), fitted into the casket-width his height dictated and his thin physique left empty. Only the lawyers, Avril, Leith, and "perhaps Mario" know. The note quietly loads the novel's ending geometry — whoever wants a Master must dig up the body (cf. Hal's pp. 16-17 head-digging flash-forward in 003; 098's master-copy theory) — and the sub-note parks the grave in L'Islet, funeral "rushed to be fit in between annulation-cycles."
