The weapon's logistics, treated with ordnance-grade care: the mirror travels as components, gets a sanctioned assembly stop at ghost-white Montpelier ("Balbalis permitted at Montpelier a brief stop for final assembly"), and is installed across both southbound lanes of I-91 like a charge being laid. Contingency planning runs through the optics too: "If the bus survived the swerve from the highway’s mirror and was operational after the crash of swerving, Balbalis would drive this bus."
