Context

The oddest object in the wheelchair set: a wicker wheelchair, domestic and quaint, holding a fiancé the narration can only specify as "somehow damaged" — at Ennet House even the vagueness of injury is routine. (The plan-note gave this chair to the catatonic lady; the raw gives it to Johnette's fiancé.)
