Context
How the institution summons Marathe from the Office door: euphemism as public address. The sensitivity-speak bellowed across a crowded room is exactly the disguised American contempt Fortier anatomized — the label that pretends not to see the body while making it the loudest thing in the room. Marathe, of course, engineered the whole misreading.
