Context
Pat Montesian's arrival story: the stroke during the D.T.s that she calls the best thing that ever happened to her, because it let her Surrender. The wheelchair here is an origin, not an endpoint — she arrives able only to blink and ends up running the House — but the body keeps the whole ledger: rictus, semi-claw, the lurch rendered as dragging something that's hanging on to her.
