Schacht identifies the weeping behind the weight-room door: "clinically depressed" dropped as locker-room commonplace — E.T.A. kids diagnose each other in DSM language — while some of the crueler guys spectate on the breakdown like it's entertainment. Schacht's one-line ethic against that is the scene's moral.
