Context
Steeply closes the anecdote by aiming it forward: his father died at full Recline mid-episode, and now Steeply pictures samizdat-victim Hank Hoyne in the same chair. The story of the consuming loop is itself starting its second revolution — that's why he's telling it on this mountain.
