The Chinatown decision: Dr. Wo, and C's Wo/Sorkin history

• What: Flush with the robbery's $400-plus, and shut out at the Brighton Projects (post-2200, a man's heart-attack they flee), the crew debates where to cop. C is dopesick and "not 2Bdenied": he insists on going down to Chinatown to Dr. Wo — even at "200 $" a bundle Wo's product is "always good." Poor Tony resists (too dear; too risky) and, on the train, half-recalls that Wo may once have been "got over on and burnt" in a deal Poor Tony was mixed up in. The decisive link: C himself is "Wos' former aquaintance from crewing with slopes on the North shore for Whity Sorkin in the days of his youth" — the connection that gets them in the door and (unknowingly) sets up the payback.
