• What: The first-person narrator is a Boston street heroin addict who works the Harvard Square / Brighton / Chinatown crewing scene. He is never named in his own narration. He establishes two facts about himself: that in his youth he prostituted himself ("petaled ass") in New York City's Columbus Square, invoking Stokely Darkstar as a fellow-traveler in that trade; and that he has a mother — his "Mumster" — with a Boston-area apartment, the door of which she can and does lock against him (event 9).
