• What: Tine runs the Boston end from the eighth floor of the State House Annex, standing at the window over the concentric-ringed crowd watching the Public Gardens pond drained, while behind him his conference room holds the regional apparatus: a stenographer, an aide, a Deputy Mayor, the Massachusetts Division for Substance Abuse Services director, and "Unspecified Services Regional Operatives Rodney Tine Jr. and Hugh Steeply." It is the Office's local coordinating hub for the samizdat hunt.
