• What: Steeply relays the incident B.S.S. wants verified: a Saudi medical attaché (a "specialist of digesting") in metropolitan Boston received a copy of the Entertainment by ordinary physical mail; the dead — the attaché, his Saudi wife, embassy staff, neighbors, police — number "Upwards of twenty" in Steeply's telling, "twenty-three human beings lost for all time" in Marathe's tally moments later (both scene 029, cited as written). Steeply presses whether the A.F.R. disseminated it or made the attaché an example, and floats the victim's possible prior involvement with the auteur's widow. Steeply is "asked to secure personal verification," on behalf of Chief Tine ("Rod the God").
