• When: UNDATED standing use; the Eric Clipperton suicide dates to the early E.T.A. years (B.S. era, Y.W. inauguration of Subsidized Time nearby)
• What: After the hostage-gambit junior Eric Clipperton shot himself in a Subdorm C room (a suicide JOI and Mario witnessed), the room was locked — "except G. Schtitt holds a special key," and when an E.T.A. junior "whinges too loudly about some tennis-connected vicissitude," Schtitt invites him to "go chill for a bit in the Clipperton Suite," to meditate on "some of the other ways to succeed besides votaried self-transcendence and gut-sucking-in and hard daily slogging." Schtitt (with deLint) also uses the Clipperton-annihilated Ross Reat as a standing warning to "all future potentially mercy-minded E.T.A. males" — and had objected "vehemently" to admitting the doomed Clipperton in the first place.
