• What: Pemulis, who "loathes Rusk with a hard and gem-like flame," dickied into counselor Dolores Rusk's locked office at night at fifteen and wired a Delco battery to the inside brass doorknob; he badly under-calculated the voltage, and an elderly Brighton-Irish cleaning lady reached the hot knob first at 0500h, escaping with only a permanent perm and irreversibly crossed eyes because she wore rubber gloves. The academy's Workman's Comp premiums skyrocketed and "the whole thing was still in litigation" — one of several standing grievances (with the drug operation) that make Tavis and Avril "not exactly a fan of Pemulis." Only Hal, Schacht, and maybe Mario know he authored it.
