• What: In a Big-Buddy session, the narration notes Hal "some weeks back had acquiesced to Lyle's diagnosis" that he so dislikes the boy Ingersoll because "Hal sees in the kid certain parts of himself he can't or won't accept" — a Jungian shadow reading, characteristic of Lyle's psychoanalytic counsel. One attribution to keep straight, as printed: the elaborate three-part player taxonomy in this same scene — the "Despairing," "Obsessive," and "Complacent" types — is John Wayne's, relayed by LaMont Chu, not Lyle's; the only Lyle material in scene 036 is the Ingersoll shadow-diagnosis.
