• What: Blott drifts into V.R.6 with Idris Arslanian and the nose-bandaged Todd Possalthwaite to join the crowd around Hal watching his father's Blood Sister: One Tough Nun — the three sit Indian-style in a loose hemisphere on the carpet, and "Kent Blott wears a sportfisherman's cap with an extremely long bill." He is sucked, like all the little kids, straight into the film, and gets the thread's one on-page Blott line of inquiry: when the convent doors' carved motto CONTRARIA SUNT COMPLEMENTA heaves into view, its heaviness "makes Hal cringe so severely it's Boone who has to supply the translation Kent Blott asks for." The visit's real purpose surfaces as the credits roll: "Possalthwaite says he and the Id-man brought Blott in to speak to Hal about something disturbing they encountered during their disciplinary shit-detail in the tunnels that P.M." — Blott as designated witness, brought before his Big Buddy to report. Hal holds up a hand for the kids to hang on, flipping through cartridge cases; the report never lands on-page.
