Per Calvin Thrust's ward-side update to Gately, Kate and Ruth van Cleve "supposedly went to hit an NA meeting in Inman Square and got supposedly mugged and separated," only Ruth returned, and Pat has sworn out a Protective-Custody warrant for Gompert on account of her psych and suicide history. This is the last the novel attests of her: gone from the House, a warrant out, her state after the Marathe/Entertainment night and the AFR-adjacent evening left unresolved — as printed.
