• What: In the second dream, Mrs. Waite (the suicided neighbor of Gately's childhood) is "played by" an unveiled, naked Joelle with a face like all the world's light — Death incarnate — who patiently explains that the woman who kills you is always someone you love and always your next life's mother, mothers' obsessive love being amends for an unremembered murder. Gately, seeing her through a baby's crib-blur, cries and asks Death to free him and be his mother; Joelle "either shakes or nods her lovely unfocused head and says: Wait." NOTE: this is near-verbatim the Entertainment's reported content (scene 159) — which Gately has never seen — implying wraith-transmission (the wraith interface is the immediately preceding scene 162).
