• What: Joelle made JOI's stopping distilled spirits her personal condition for consenting to appear in the final cartridge; he apparently kept it for the three-plus months from Xmas YTMP until his death. Orin insists Joelle told him JOI had quit drinking in January — sobriety being her condition for appearing "in what he was doing" (corroborates n.80's account of the last cartridge's making); Hal's list of Orin's forbidden interview topics includes "you and Joelle, Himself and Joelle" (p. 247). Notkin adds the detail of the turkey-shaped Wild Turkey gift bottle by the microwave he died in front of — plausibly, she says, placed by the widow-to-be, enraged he'd quit "for" Madame Psychosis and never "for her."
