What: Unable to sleep in early withdrawal, Hal recounts a nightmare to Mario: his teeth dry-rotted into shale and splintered when he ate or spoke, he jettisoned fragments and priced dentures; then, in a cold flame-retardant chair, naked, he kept receiving mailed bills for teeth that weren't his and couldn't get the mail carrier to acknowledge they weren't his teeth. Keys Hal's dental anxiety (inherited from JOI) to the identity/withdrawal dread. Same conversation surfaces the urine/Eschaton fallout (people all night asking "where is Hal," Avril breaking her never-check-up rule to ask Mario). A recurrence of the very-late-Oct dream (see event 46).
