What: Gately's disastrous involvement with Pamela Hoffman-Jeep, an alcoholic, near-catatonically passive Danvers girl introduced by Fackelmann, who fell in love with his "chivalrous" refusal to Take Advantage and called him her "Night-Errand." She cued Gately in to Fackelmann's fatal scam (event 20) and is present, then maimed, at the finale (event 22).
