Incandenza attends many domestic-circuit events shooting a two-part documentary on jr. competitive tennis, stress, and light (Disney Leith and early prorector Cantrell shepherding the male contingent, including a plateau-stuck seventeen-year-old Orin), so Mario totters around with lens-cases and tripods and befriends Clipperton — finding him intriguing and hard-to-articulate hilarious, and treating him "like he exists," while by late July everyone else meets him with the "stiffly conspicuous nonrecognition that e.g. accompanies farts at formal functions."
