Orin presses ("And Dad knew they were…? Very close?"); Hal doesn't confirm. The adjacency of the two bedrooms (they "sleep, in their second-floor rooms in the Headmaster's House — separate rooms," scene 102) is the standing physical fact underneath the Avril-C.T. crux (event 30). Whether the move precipitated the suicide is left open.
