What: Orin's hostile framing (scene 064): "She always did believe Himself was doing more with Joelle than work. Poor old Himself never had eyes for anybody but the Moms." Avril "never lowered herself to contest" the annuity JOI willed Joelle (n080 via Joelle), which "solidified the false appearance that Joelle and Jim had been lovers" — Orin knew they weren't; Avril did not. Orin's litany of taboo family topics names the cruxes directly: "the Moms and Québec and Royal Victoria, the Moms and immigration... the Moms and C.T., you v. the Moms." The projection cuts both ways — Avril imputing to JOI the infidelity that (per events 15, 24-26) may have been her own.
