Alone in Schtitt's room: "You just never quite occurred out there"

• What: Hal drops by Schtitt's room wanting the coach's read on why he played so badly against Stice, and finds only deLint — prone and shirtless on the bare floor with a pungent Magic Marker, working an oversized spreadsheetish chart with Stice's and Wayne's names at the top and Hal's name absent. deLint gives him several minutes of statistics-backed analysis and lands on the verdict that Hal never quite occurred out there — the statistician delivering, in Schtitt's own mystical vocabulary of "occurring," the coldest sentence anyone passes on Hal's decline. The scene also fixes the geography of his station: deLint's room is next to Schtitt's in Comm.
