Minor JOI cruxes

In plain terms: JOI is the unnamed "crocodile" who founded Ennet House, which would tie the novel's two institutions to one maker.

Where the text lands: never put through a full adjudication -- the archive keeps it as a recorded sighting only, and the conversation that produced it largely dismantled it. Among readers: a fringe reading, retracted by its own advocate.

This is the first recorded sighting of the theory in any archive corpus, kept only for the sighting count. In the exchange, the objection was that the founder is described as a man who did not use his first name and whose death does not match JOI's; the proposer largely conceded the point, while a third reader kept it half-alive on the grounds that JOI was very into disguises.
