Context
The engineer's booth-side view of the studio just before midnight: Madame Psychosis behind her chiffon screen, and over the screen's left section the book's most literal piece of clock-architecture — four Zones ticking at once, plus the joke-disk with no numbers at all for the Concavity, the one region where time has been annularized right out of measurement. And the single clock that matters is carving seconds off engineered emptiness: five contractual minutes of dead air, silence stipulated and metered. This is the motif catalogue's theme-level carrier.
